Week 2 was an up and down week, the Cleveland Browns kept the saints close and could (maybe should) have won netting us the Browns @ +9.5.
However the Texans couldn’t beat a broken Titans team 🤢 and the Jets regressed WAYYY back to lose against the dolphins (they also lost to the Browns Thursday night 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️)
On to week three of Just The Tip.
For my first bet I’m looking at the battle for LA. Not that it’s much of a battle, chargers are so under supported that home games often look like road games for the Bolts. Rams look dominant this year with a plethora of studs of D and a wacky professor at the helm of the offense they rolled over the cardinals last week. With an offense that’s so unpredictable only one thing has remained constant, Todd Gurley touches in the red zone. He’s @2.88 to score a brace this week. With him getting all RZ carries and the fact he’s involved in the passing game, I think this is a gimme.
Second game Colts @ Eagles.
Carson Wentz is back in the driving seat for the eagles who need their season kickstarting again. Wentz is the spark for the whole team and I expect to the see them buzzing around the field today even if it takes #11 a few drives to get into the game.
Philly Defense is also stifling at home conceding their first rushing TD at home for 8 games when they played the Falcons. They’ve also kept teams under 14 points at home since the middle of last season.
Indy to score less than 14 points is @ 3.00.
Let’s hope Eagles Dbs show up this week.
Final bet for week three in what everyone expects to be a shootout- Falcons v Saints. In a high scoring affair you want to look for a qbs favourite target to find the end zone often. Shame that Julio Jones just doesn’t like scoring TDs though so they’ll be shared around for the Falcons. 🙏 for points today. Regular video will return next week…
Saints D has been bad this year but their O looks like it can get the job done. Falcons are beat up badly on D having already lost safety Keanu Neal for the season and stand out linebacker Deion Jones for the next couple of weeks.
If falcons have sorted out their red zone woes then this one could go sky high in points.
Saints on the other hand are likely to go one of two ways. Electric Alvin Kamara who’s impossible to tackle with the ball in his hands or Michael Thomas the WR who’s quietly become one of the elite in the league. I like Kamara to score often today but best price is Thomas @ 8.50 to score a brace.
Tip 1 – Rams V Chargers
Todd Gurley to score 2 TDs @ 2.88
Tip 2 – Colts @ Eagles
Indianapolis Colts to score less than 14 points @ 3.00
Tip 3 – Falcons V Saints
Michael Thomas to score 2 TDs @ 2.88
