Missouri Linebacker Nick Bolton is one of the most underrated players in the 2021 NFL draft and can make an immediate impact!

2021 NFL Draft prospect profile Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri - Big Blue View
Big Blue View

Micah Parsons gets all the hype as the best linebacker in the 2021 NFL draft but I wouldn’t be surprised if you become all too familiar with the stud that is Nick Bolton out of Missouri. His explosiveness and hard tackling ability will make Bolton hard to pass up for many teams as his trigger is quick but he rarely misses. While many hard hitters around the league tend to struggle in coverage, Bolton is smothering in zone coverage though could use work in man (although show me a linebacker who is perfect in man coverage out of college.)

He doesn’t come out of college as the perfect front-seven player but slide him into the MIKE linebacker position and your team can count on him being aggressive and making receivers think twice about catching balls over the middle. If Nick Bolton can work on his decision making and stop shooting gaps to try and make the splashy play every time, then he could easily become the best linebacker out of the 2021 NFL draft. Many analysts have Bolton as the 4th-6th best linebacker available and around the 30th-40th pick range. He brings the type of confidence and leadership that teams covet in their MIKE linebackers, Bolton can also contribute to the odd blitz.
