Patriots and Broncos Monday night football postponed after positive coronavirus test and the Titans are locked down once again!
The Denver Broncos at New England Patriots game scheduled for Monday has been postponed. According to Adam Schefter, the Broncos-Patriots game is being moved to next Sunday. Broncos were supposed to play Miami; that won’t happen. That game is being rescheduled. Details on a new game date and time will be announced shortly. Both teams will now have a Week 5 bye. This decision was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts. The Patriots had one new positive test this morning and their building is now shut down while further testing is conducted.
In addition to this, the Titans had another coach test positive this morning and now the team have shut down their facility again. The matchup vs the Buffalo Bills is in jeopardy once again. Let’s make this clear, the league is going to come down HARD on the Titans organisation, we could see unprecedented fines and draft picks being taken away. Some have called for the Titans to forfeit their Week 5 game, giving the Bills the win. While getting a free win thanks to a forfeit sounds like a sweet deal for the Bills, it would come with an odious side effect for Bills players. If the NFL makes the Titans forfeit the contest, neither team would be paid. That’s a new wrinkle under the league’s “revised COVID-19 terms.”
What do you think should be the consequences for the Titans?
