Fantasy Football Tips – NFL Week 6 by James Platt

My Tips This Week

Good Tip!

Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan let me down last week, but he surely won’t do it again in what is set to be a great divisional matchup with his season on the line. The Buccaneers seconadary is starting 3 rookies and it leads to a lot of mistakes and open receivers downfield. Hopefully Sarkisian can take advantage, otherwise his time in Atlanta will soon be up.

Running Back

Been better, been worse!

Tom Brady

Tom Brady has come alive the last 2 weeks and the Chiefs defense has been pushed around by pretty much everyone not named Blake Bortles. With Edelman back in the fold and a big game by Gronk overdue we could see the GOAT at or very near the top spot this week as he faces the up and coming Patty Mahomes.

Been better, been worse!

James White

James White has suddenly been getting touches in the regular season, mainly because of other’s injuries, and this week he has a perfect matchup with the Chiefs. This defense has given up the most receiving yards and touchdowns to running backs through the first 5 weeks and White is becoming one of the premier receiving back threats this season, he’s quick and elusive and could give this slow linebacking corps nightmares.

Awesome Tip!

Latavius Murray

Latavius Murray hasn’t stepped up where most people thought he would in Dalvin Cooks absence and that’s probably not his fault as his offensive line is offensive to watch, it’s that bad. If that bunch of 300lb+ men can somehow muster a single push, then we could see Murray have a nice game against the Cardinals who are horrendous against the run.

Wide Receiver

Been better, been worse!

Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen isn’t having a good a year as some people were predicting but he’s still producing and this week against the Browns he could have a lot of targets thrown his way. The Browns give up a lot of points to receivers and Allen can easily pull a few moves on such a young defense. Look for him to score this week.

Not such a great choice…

Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley disappointed last week against a suddenly sturdy Steelers D. This week its make or break for the Falcons season and Ryan needs to get the ball to Ridley. I fully expect this rookie to bully the rookies in the Bucs secondary and wouldn’t be surprised at another multi-score game for Ridley this week.

Been better, been worse!

Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett always teases you with his potential. He’s in London this week facing the Oakland Raiders, and hopefully the jet lag hasn’t got to him on that enormous trek over here. The Raiders will be homing in on Doug Baldwin and this should leave Lockett one on one to burn one of the Raiders awful corners or safeties for a long catch or two and ignite this great British crowd.

Tight End

Good Tip!

Jimmy Graham

Jimmy Graham is having a disappointing season in Green Bay but that doesn’t mean he can’t turn it around. In week 6, he faces the 49ers who are one of the worst teams in the leagues against tight ends. Not only that, the god, Aaron Rodgers, is reviving week by week. He will soon be back to full power and Graham should be his hot target this week against a pretty awful coverage unit.

Been better, been worse!

C.J. Uzomah

C.J. Uzomah is a Bengals tight end. Who you might say? Well since Eifert went down people expected Tyler Kroft to replace him, but he didn’t catch anything last week before being carted off with an injury. Uzomah caught 2 balls for 40 yards so there is potential. Especially against a Steelers defense that is almost the worst in the league. Look for Dalton to go to Uzomah early and often.

What was I thinking…

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars is the “safe” pick here but it seems whenever I pick my No. 1 defense they decide to play disgustingly poor that week. Dallas has no offense except for Zeke who is somehow still performing against 9-man boxes. Dak is going to get picked a couple of times and these receivers are going to get no separation against these 2 all pro corners, pretty safe pick.

Awesome Tip!

Houston Texans

Houston Texans are the pick if you need to save $100, I personally don’t feel safe picking any other defenses this week. The Texans should be in Josh Allens face all day and he doesn’t have any receivers that could threaten the underrated Houston secondary. Houston aren’t bad against the run so McCoy shouldn’t be able to dig them out at the end.
