Eagles No. 2 tight end Dallas Goedert has been sucker-punched in a restaurant as part of a possible brawl in South Dakota!
The Eagles No. 2 tight end Dallas Goedert was reportedly sucker-punched while at a restaurant with his family in South Dakota. The incident was reportedly unprovoked and Goedert was taken to the hospital for evaluation as a precaution but he is fine.
The incident occurred at the Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, South Dakota, around 1 a.m. Police were called to the scene because of reports that “people were busting glasses and have busted heads.” A suspect was arrested following the incident according to ESPN.
Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox, Goedert’s roommate last season and best friend on the team, weighed in on social media on Saturday.
Goedert is the Eagles tight end option after Zach Ertz and is entering his third season. In 2019 he had 58 catches 607 yards and five TDs which is amazing for a second tight end in any offense.
The rest of Twitter responded as Twitter does and provided some laughs.
