BAFA have released the below information regarding the application process for the first ever CFL UK Combine.
The British American Football Association, in partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), are excited to announce that applications for the inaugural CFL UK Combine are now open. TheCombine will be held at Filton Academy, Bristol, on Saturday 25 January. Inorder to be eligible for selection to this event an applicant must meet the following criteria:
Age: 22-29 years old
Nationality: Either a) British national or b) Foreign national, not a citizen of the US or Canada, and fully registered with BAFA during either the previous 2019 or current 2020 membership years
Applications will be considered based on athletic ability and demonstrable football experience.
Athletes should be nominated by a qualified coach, either recognised by BAFA or another IFAF federation. A guide to the expected athletic measurables, by position, and the permitted testing conditions can be found on the BAFA website. Nominated athletes are expected to provide:
1. Documented metrics against defined measurables:
– Bench press
– 3-cone drill/20yd shuttle
– 40yd dash
– Vertical jump
2. Video evidence of measurables
3. Video evidence of football ability (e.g. game film, highlights etc) (optional)
Video evidence can be provided in the form of web links to your preferred platform (e.g. Hudl, YouTube etc) or via DropBox. Please note that the content must be publicly accessible.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 1st December. All successful applicants will be contacted by Monday 23rd December and provided supplementary information to help them prepare for the event.
