fantasy football position rankings
1. SB Nation 2. Charlotte Observer 3. ESPN

The draft has come and gone, which means that the football offseason is all but concluded. While things will be a little different this year in terms of the training camps and the preseason preparation, one thing will never change – once the NFL Draft is concluded, it’s fantasy football season.

I have decided that it’s as good a time as any to start our 2020 Fantasy Football coverage now, and we are going to kick it off with my initial rankings for each position.

This list is one that is fluid and rankings always fluctuate based on news and updates around the league, but there is no better way to start the fantasy football discussion than putting each position on paper and seeing who comes out on top.

For those who aren’t as familiar with fantasy football, I will be ranking these guys to 12 at each position, because that is the most common number of players in a league, and therefore to be considered one of the top players at each position, you have to be in the top 12. I would refer to a top 12 running back as an ‘RB1’, for example.

This article will consist simply of the list of the players in the order of my rankings; however, we will look in more detail in the future at each position and break things down with analysis on each of the top players.

Note – this list is based on Half PPR scoring and 4pt passing TD’s, the most common scoring system, and the finish from 2019 is noted based on the full season, not their points per game played.

I will put an asterisk next to the 2019 finish of a player if they missed three or more games, as this made a big impact on their finish.
