Now that our worst fears have been realised and BAFA have cancelled the 2020 Britball season, we have to accept it and move on to 2021. Some of us might have to go through a few stages first so look out for these!
Shock – It cannot be, an institution so strong and prosperous should not have fallen from grace
Denial – It can’t be over, you had to take a new FB profile picture in my kit this season, it can’t be over, it’s all you have to live for
Anger – You revert to 15 years old, mercilessly punching your bedroom wall because your dad turned off the internet
Bargaining – Multiple letters to BAFA with no response but you refuse to let the season go and beg for it
Depression – You slump into a cold, dark lump where nothingness is bliss and bed is home
Testing – You try other things but nothing else is as fun as a competitive Britball game with the huge crowds in attendance
Acceptance – You finally get over yourself and realise that maybe there is more to life and find inner peace until 2021
