We are looking forward to working with him, and his organisation ‘Hope Through Football’ to propel the growth and advancement of Gridiron American Football in the United Kingdom, and around the world. ‘
‘”We strongly believe that Football is about bringing people together, building relationships and that’s what makes this game so great. It’s about building a family of like-minded individuals who want to be part of a special journey. It’s also about trying to help young people in our communities learn from, develop and grow with like-minded people.”’
‘This new partnership will seek to raise the profile of British American Football here in the UK and get people excited about playing and coaching at a grassroots level. It will also give young athletes a chance to learn from the best and through his charity Hope Through Football, Rod Woodson is putting his extensive knowledge and experience gained over many years in the sport into helping young athletes learn about the sport, sharpen their football knowledge and build the character and skills that will last a lifetime.’
‘Rod Woodson president of Hope through Football said: “I appreciate you guys. Our job as coaches is to give confidence in young people to move forward in life, both on and off the field. Therefore, as the Ambassador of the London Olympians American Football Club, it is my pleasure to welcome you to this team with the most tradition in British American Football history. Let’s build something special.”’
‘Despite the challenging situation facing grassroots sport and clubs in the UK, the London Olympians are now building towards their 2021 premiership season and are elated by the opportunity to work with Rod Woodson towards the development of the UK game and building stronger and everlasting relationships along the way.’
