When I was a kid, I remember having a Miami Dolphins jersey that my Dad bought for me whilst he was in Florida for work, so when I started playing American Football at the University of Lincoln, the Dolphins seemed like the right choice for a team to support.

After 5 Years, a tanking season and lots of money spent on anything with the Dolphins logo on, I was able to do something that seemed like a pipedream. Attend a Miami Dolphins practice and press conference.

I think by virtue of all the players and coaches being an ocean away, they seem so far away and untouchable that they have a sort of mystical quality. So to be able to say that I was sat not ten feet away from Brian Flores, Tua Tagovailoa, Christian Wilkins, Jerome Baker and Mike Geisecki still has got in a puzzled state just because I cannot believe I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to hear them speak, let alone being able to ask questions to a couple of them.

Thankfully on a day of such reverence for me, the sun was shining when they were practising allowing me to get some pictures of the Dolphins practice looking near-Floridian if not for the lush British countryside backdrop.

Even seeing them practice was truly amazing, seeing people that I’d only viewed on TV or played as on Madden. Despite the Dolphins record listening to them speak and practice has reinvigorated my faith in the team and has got me ready to enjoy the game vs the Jaguars more than I thought I was going to.

I will truly remember the 15th of October 2021 for the rest of my life, thank you to Gridiron Hub and the Miami Dolphins are still the greatest American Football team of all time.
