Following on from our article back in September where the Etone/Nuneaton Jaguars were forced to withdraw from the Associate process amid a series of very serious allegations aimed at their Manager Lawrence Grugeon.
At the time of the Association withdrawal, a very aminated and defiant Grugeon sent us a very lengthy reaction statement which we published.
BAFA have today released a statement explaining that after an investigation, they have banned Mr Grugeon from the sport for 12 months. The full statement can be read at the bottom of this article.
BAFA’s main concern is that they are aware of an event that is due to run this Saturday (February 15th) in Nuneaton which was organised by Grugeon. BAFA are aware that at least one BAFA team are due to take part in the event which is now unsanctioned by them given Grugeon’s ban.
Nuneaton joined the British Gridiron League (BGL) shortly after withdrawing from the BAFA Associate process. The BGL are no in any way connected to BAFA and it is assumed that the Event this weekend is associated to them.
We have been contacted by someone close to this story so will follow up with more information on it.
